AWA Architects
AWA Architects is a Hamilton-based practice designing functional, characterful architecture across New Zealand. Registered with Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects and a member of the New Zealand Green Building Council, the studio works at civic, residential and commercial scales.
Its portfolio reflects that range. AWA designed the terminal at Taunga Waka Rererangi o Kirikiriroa, Hamilton Airport, alongside commercial centres, mixed-use developments and apartment buildings.
At The Reach, that breadth shows in the masterplan: an entire enclave shaped to its sloping site, where the arrangement of the homes, the protection of each outlook, and the choice of robust, regional materials all answer to a single idea.
